Indonesia Assures Citizens on Fuel Supply, Urges Calm Amid Middle East Tensions

Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Indonesia’s government has reassured its citizens that the supply of subsidized fuel remains stable and prices will not spike. Authorities are urging the public to remain calm and avoid panic buying, especially as the nation approaches the Idul Fitri festive season.

Dwi Anggia, spokesperson for the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, emphasized that the government has made sure there are ample fuel stocks to meet public needs. She also noted that fuel distribution across the country is running smoothly to prevent shortages.

The message was echoed by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, who confirmed that the price of subsidized fuel, including Pertalite, will not increase despite global oil market volatility.

“We urge the public to remain calm, avoid panic buying, and refrain from hoarding fuel, which could lead to unnecessary shortages,” Dwi said, as reported by Antara News Agency.

As the country prepares for celebrations and increased travel during Idul Fitri, authorities are committed to ensuring energy availability for everyone. Citizens are encouraged to stay informed through official channels and prioritize responsible consumption, creating a stable and secure environment for all.
