PETALING JAYA – Good news for travellers! Starting July 28, Batik Air is making travel more convenient and accessible with the launch of daily flights from Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang (SZB) to two exciting destinations – Bangkok and Kuching.
Imagine skipping the long journey to KLIA and instead flying out from right in the heart of the city. That’s what this new move is all about – bringing air travel closer to home.
In a heartfelt announcement, Batik Air’s CEO, Datuk Chandran Rama Murthy, shared, “This isn’t just about adding new routes. It’s about giving people more time, more convenience, and more reasons to travel. Subang is a city airport, and now it’s becoming a true hub for regional connection.”
Daily flights to Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) and Kuching International Airport (KCH) are just the start. Batik Air already connects Subang with Penang, Kota Bharu, and Kota Kinabalu – and now, with Bangkok and Kuching added to the list, more adventures and business opportunities are just a short flight away.
For the busy professional, the spontaneous traveler, or even families visiting loved ones – this is a welcome shift. No more traffic stress, no more long airport waits. Just pack your bag and go.
With this step, Batik Air isn’t just expanding its flight map – it’s transforming the way Malaysians travel. And for that, many will breathe a sigh of relief and excitement.
