Thai PM Confirms Cabinet Reshuffle Complete, Reassures Public of Strong Coalition

BANGKOK — Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra offered a calm and confident update on Tuesday, confirming that the long-anticipated cabinet reshuffle has been finalized.

Speaking candidly to reporters, Paetongtarn shared, “It’s settled. I’ve spoken directly with all the party leaders. Right now, the official names are being vetted.” Her tone was steady, aiming to reassure a public eager for political stability.

This announcement comes just days after political turbulence, when the second-largest party in the ruling coalition unexpectedly pulled its support. Despite that shake-up, Paetongtarn emphasized that the government remains unified and strong.

In response to growing speculation, she also firmly denied rumors that she would be stepping in as Defence Minister, brushing aside the chatter with a composed dismissal.

The Prime Minister’s remarks signal not just the conclusion of internal negotiations but also a broader message of stability to the Thai people and international observers. The reshuffle, while complex, appears to be under control — and for now, the coalition is holding steady.
